Thanks to all who reponded to my query regarding the Townsend's Solitaire.
Yesterday I saw it fly from our water to a shrub with red berries in a
neighbors yard. Watched it eating berries. Then it flew back for more
water. We also have many juniper shrubs but have not seen it in those. It
was still here as of today making it the 9th consecutive day.
We do not have snow at our location which I am estimating at 700 meters.
We are very pleased to have had this opportunity to observe this uncommon
species at close hand in our own yard no less!! Tonight was saturday night
and it still did not bathe! Thanks again to all the Tweeters who responded.
