1:03 p.m. 04-29-97: Hi, Ed Deal in Seattle, 723-4742. The SOLITARY
SANDPIPER described in previous reports is still present this morning as
of 9 o'clock. There were 2 Solitarys and 1 SPOTTED SANDPIPER in the pond.
Refer to the directions on an earlier message. An easier access is to
continue past the parking spot described for another 2 or 300 yards. The
road bends to the right, and there's a railroad crossing. Park here and
walk up the gated gravel road, and that will put you right at the pond.

4:28 p.m. 04-29-97: This is Hugh Jennings in Bellevue, Washington, new
area code (425) 746-6351. Three of us birded the Lake Hills Greenbelt in
east Bellevue for two and a half hours this morning, and we had our first
sighting ever of an ORANGE- CROWNED WARBLER--there were two of them--and
the first sighting ever of a NASHVILLE WARBLER in the greenbelt. They
were both at Phantom Lake, and also the first sighting ever of WESTERN
SANDPIPER. There were 31 WESTERN SANDPIPERS in the field just northeast
of the intersection of 156th and SE 16th. In that same field, there were
also 2 COMMON SNIPE, and we also saw 17 YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS this
morning. One showed up last week, but this was the first--[either voice
simply trailed off here or message got cut off].

10:53 a.m. 04-30-97: Hello, this is Patrick Sullivan reporting from
Tacoma, Washington. Up to 3 SOLITARY SANDPIPERS were again seen this
morning between 7:45 and 9:45 a.m. at the previous location just west of
Tumwater (in Thurston County) and Black Lake Blvd. Thank you. Good luck
