9:22 p.m. 05-02-97: Hello, this is Tom Schooley in Olympia, 360-357-8851.
On April 30th out at the coast, along Burroughs Road at the mouth of the
Humptulips [sp?] River, was a flock of over 1800 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED
GEESE, and among them was 1 ROSS'S GOOSE. At Damon Point, there was a
CLARK'S GREBE, and near Bottle Beach at ??? [sounds like Cost and Third],
there was a LESSER YELLOWLEGS. Across the street at Bottle Beach, there
were RUDDY TURNSTONES and RED KNOTS. By the Ocean Shores Sewage Ponds,
there was a SHORT-EARED OWL. That's the report for today. Good day.
