Hi Tweets!

I've been watching a pair of Hooded Orioles the last couple of weeks. Since
I've never seen them before, I wasn't sure if they were involved in
courtship but it seemed likely. I can now happily say they were and are now
involved in nest building in a nearby tree.

Interestingly, they've chosen a palm tree located a few feet from our
balcony as a fiber source for their nest. This morning the female has been
making trips back and forth striping fibers off the leaves of the palms.

I'll keep you posted.

PS Babies of all types are fledging right and left!
