Four of us participated in our monthly survey of LSSP. The survey was
started last July. We had a total of 35 species in 2 -1/2 hrs. There were 5
new species:

3 Brown-headed Cowbirds
1 Dunlin
6 Golden-crowned Sparrows
1 Western Tanager, female
2 Orange-crowned Warblers

Other interesting birds were:

2 Purple Finch
5 American Pipit
1 Wilson's Warbler
2 Yellow Warbler

Another interesting sidelight. We were at the WOS conference this weekend.
Today my wife went out to our gardening shed to retreive some seedlings in
an egg carton. Was she surprised when she heard a lot of frantic chirping
from 5 baby Bewick's Wrens.
