-----------Tonight's bird sighting list is from Colusa NWR, and
Sacramento NWR in the central Calif. valley----near Williams, Calif. For
the sake of brevity, and since similiar birds and waterfowl were at both
refuges(due to their close proximity to each other), they shall be
treated as one sighting area..............

Ring-necked Pheasant(quite a few!!!)
Plain Titmouses
Pied-billed Grebes
Western Grebes
Great Egrets
Snowy Egrets(numerous)
Cattle Egrets
Greater Yellowlegs
Whimbrel(1)
Kildeer
Common Gallinule(Moorhen)(several)
White-faced Ibis(numerous)
White-tailed Kite(1)
Ruddy Ducks(with bright blue bill!!!)
Greater White-fronted Geese(about 130 or so!!!!)
Black-crowned Night Heron(1)
Great Blue Heron
Cliff and Tree Swallows(many!!!!)
+++++++plus a respectable number of the more common dipping and diving
ducks...........
Cinnamon Teals(numerous)
Dunlins(-----due to the general lack of rainfall and unseasonal dryness
in Calif. many of the temporary marshes have dried out, thus the lack of
shorebirds here. More shorebirds noted in the next and last
report------Tule Lake, and Lower Klamath NWRS.
