Clarice Clark asked for the latest about the
Tacoma peregrines.

Just before an article appeared in _The News Tribune_
about the peregrines' courtship, the female had gone
into what looked like a three-day pre-egg lethargy.
Then on the day the article appeared (4/24), she
disappeared, and I haven't seen her since. She may
be the same female that pulled the same stunt last
year.

The male stayed around and then disappeared about a
week ago. But he routinely vanishes after he loses
a female, and then he reappears with another female
a few days later. Because he has been a year-round
resident for the past two years, I expect him to
show up again sooner or later.

There has been no plan for a hotline this year.
