I went to Discovery Park in Seattle this morning, and was greeted by an
astounding number of birds.

There were what I can only describe as *flocks* of Warbling Vireo; I'm sure I
saw over 30 individuals, with as many as 6 or 8 in a single tree.

Similarly, though never more than 2 or 3 in one tree, there were multitudes of
male Wilson's Warbler. They were all over the park, in virtually every large
maple tree. Total count easily 30+.

I saw 6 or 7 Brown Creeper, often more than one at a time.

There were many, many flycatchers, of which I positively identified ZERO.
Probably Hammonds and Pacific-slope. All silent.

Four Cedar Waxwings, several Orange-crowned Warbler and Ruby-crowned Kinglet,
a few Yellow-rumps, and a good selection of the usual suspects.

Finally, I had a too-brief, but very clear sighting of a HARRIS' SPARROW. I
spent a 1/2 hour trying to get a second look, with no success. It was with
some Golden-crowned Sparrows, and I saw it at the 4-way intersection where the
Loop Trail meets with the trail connecting the North parking lot with the
North Bluff.
