Four people did our monthly survey of the Medina birds on an absolutely
beautiful morning on Thurs. We had a total of 39 species. A lot of the
wintering waterfowl were gone, e.g., we only had one AMERICAN COOT where we
had 150 last month, 0 AMERICAN WIGEON compared to 160 last month. There
were a number of MALLARD AND GADWALL young in evidence. However we did have
10 new species for the year.

1 Brown-headed Cowbird
2 Savannah Sparrow
19 Barn Swallow
3 Wilson's Warbler
2 Bullock's Oriole
2 Orange-crowned Warblers
1 Rufous Hummingbird
5 Warbling Vireo
1 Yellow Warbler
1 Yellow-rumped Warbler

Other birds of interst were:
3 Red-necked Grebe
25 Western Grebe
14 Common Merganser
