Tweeters: Wed. May 7th at Turnbull NWR I was observing a marsh wren flitting
about in the marsh. It was lifting its tail up over its back and displaying
and singing. It was also carrying material to one spot where a nest may be
hidden (?). On one occasion I noticed a bright red crown display. My bird
books do not mention this display. Is it very rare to see or was I dreaming?
Has anyone else seen this with the marsh wren? Hans in Spokane
