2:51 p.m. 05-07-97: Jean Wilkinson. I did Discovery Park today and saw
the usual stuff I guess you'd expect to see. It was a very nice day for
birding--lots of birds. Right at the end there, I saw a WESTERN KINGBIRD.

3:39 p.m. 05-07-97: This is Hugh Jennings in Bellevue, Washington,
425-746-6351. This is an update on some new birds I saw in the Lake Hills
Greenbelt in east Bellevue on my walk this morning. There was one pair of
BULLOCK'S ORIOLES in a grove of birch trees where they were last year and
had a nest. Also, 1 WARBLING VIREO and a herd of WILSON'S WARBLER. Both
of these are first sightings for there this year. Also, 100 MERGANSER on
Larson Lake. This was the first I'd seen there after about four weeks of
snow. Thank you.

5:49 p.m. 05-07-97: This is Michael Hobbes, 425-869-2370. Today, May 7th,
I was at Discovery Park and saw a very brief glimpse--but a good
glimpse--of a HARRIS'S SPARROW. It was at a place where the loop trail
and the trail that runs between the north parking lot and the north bluff
intersect in a four-way intersection. It seemed to be traveling with some
GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROWS. There [were] also tremendous numbers of WARBLING
VIREO and male WILSON'S WARBLERS at the park.

12:57 p.m. 05-08-97: This is Michael Hobbes, 425-869-2370. At Marymoor
Park this morning, I saw a MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLER. It was about 50 feet
south of the main ??? [sounds like dog] swimming area. Also at the park
were many many WESTERN TANAGER, and there was a YELLOW WARBLER at the
west end of the boardwalk.

8:17 p.m. 05-08-97: Vic Nelson. Today at Point No Point at the northeast
tip of the Kitsap Peninsula, I had 76 species of birds [as I was] walking
the area of Hansville/Point No Point. Included in this were 5 WESTERN
KINGBIRDS, 1 YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD, and 1 MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLER, out
of seven species of warblers. Thank you. Bye bye.
