Oops! Sorry about the Eastside confusion; I meant the King County
Eastside; East of Lake Washington as opposed to East of the Cascade
Crest. In that I live on about a half acre w/ 20+ Doug firs and have
lots of wet, lush moss, and abundant salah, I thought this bird to be a
bit out of it's habitat. They appeared to be eating weed seeds from my
as yet uncultivated garden patch, and probably were on their merry way
to more suitable habitat for the summer. For me, it was a nice addition
to my Backyard Bird List!
