I am a recent subscriber to tweeters and I have a question for all of you
more experienced birders. I live on 5 acres of woods, recognize or can
look up a lot of the birds I can see. However, the birds that sit in the
tops of the trees can only be identified by their call or song and I
recognize very few of these. I'm looking for a good reference for songs
and calls, coupled with visual identification, maybe on CD rom etc. There
are so many songs around me every day, I'd really like to know what is out
there. Also, I recognize black headed and evening grosbeaks by sight, but
what about their song? I'd like to know what to listen for, in case I miss
them at the feeder. Thanks - L. H.
