Gerald,

Eastern Kingbirds certainly are unusual in Western Wash-
ington (and Oregon?). About three years ago one was found at the
Kent Ponds in king County. It stayed for a few days and was seen
by a few birders, though I wasn't one of them. In Snohomish County,
Spencer Island (near Everett) has hosted a couple of Kingbirds
for the last year or two; I hear they may have nested although I
haven't heard of any conclusive evidence.
