The bird identified by me last week as a Tennessee Warbler was
relocated today singing in the same location. The difference? It
was singing from the tops of the trees today as opposed to skulking
about in the centers last week (the wind was blowing at about 25mph
last week, no wind this week).

The song is a "tip tip tip tippy trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" which closely
resembles the Tennessee Warbler song on the Peterson tape. It was,
however, quite clearly coming out of an Orange-crowned Warbler.

The bird in question is almost certainly a "celata" type Orange-
crowned and a pale one even at that with a gray head and pale
breast. But the yellow undertail coverts (not seen last week) were
seen clearly today. The majority of Orange-crowned Warblers here
on the coast are of the "lutescens" variety and are very bright.
