Greetings! I've just recently moved into the Seattle area, and a coworker
(Hi Susan!) Directed me to this mailing list, and I must say this is great!
Though I must admit I still have to figure out where all these places you
guys spot these birds are. ;-)

I spent the afternoon at Marymoor park in Redmond, and saw some old
familiar birds, but saw a new bird which I would say was a kind of thrush
or thrasher (varied thrush maybe? I'm still learning who appears where in
the state...), it was in the shade, but appeared to be mostly brown, with a
much more reddish breast, and greyish shoulder patches, and was a tad
smaller than a robin. I also heard another bird (or rather, 3 or 4 of them)
off in the peat grass which I have no idea what they were, and as varied as
their song was I couldn't even describe it. As I still don't have an
identification guide for this region, anyone have any clues as to what I
may have seen?
