Subject: Kingbirds, eagles and SnoCo maps

Greetings: Assorted stuff...

First, in response to Jim Flynns query, Eastern Kingbirds have been seen
in the Snohomish River delta for at least a decade, if not longer. They
were first collected as breeders for the breeding bird survey on Ebey
Island, which is accessible off the Highway 2 trestle. When we first got
on Spencer Island, they were also found there, which isnt surprising
since the islands are about 50 yards apart.

Two, my concentration on homework while sitting in my north Seattle
backyard this afternoon was abruptly interrupted when a Bald Eagle went
crashing into a crows nest in a neighbors fir. The crow mobbing scene
was substantial. When I loudly cheered the eagle on, a neighbor yelled
back wondering who I was talking to. A distant relative, I said.

Third, Ive been meaning to let tweets know that reasonably decent maps
(I still have a ways to go) to Snohomish County (Birding) Parks are now
