Our concern with predators was related to the late fall and winter times
when the hive is vulnerable because of lethargy from low temps. Mites have
desimimated most of the "wild" hives and local bee keepers have lost at
least 2/3 of their bees. We know its a privilege to have them, just want
to give them the best chance of survival.
