A fledgling DARK-EYED JUNCO landed on the railing just outside my office
to say hello. The adults have been very busily feeding the young for
about 10 days, and I suspected these birds had been out of the nest since
at least Monday. It's always so interesting to see baby juncos as they
are so much different looking than the adults (and look so much like
young chipping sparrows with the exception of the white in the tail).
