Hi tweeters,

It seems that the Swainson's have given up on the nest site next door. They
had been absent from there for several days. Saturday the male flew over
with a new green twig and dropped it from high up. They are still in the
area, but our kestrels now have young out of the nest box and they are
keeping the big hawks chased off. What a disappointment.

We have had evening grosbeaks, Wilson's warblers, and a Meadolark here
today. This was a first time in several years that the Meadowlark has been
around our place.
