The Washington Bird Box is a voice mailbox sponsored by the Washing=
ton
Ornithological Society. To leave a message about a notable sighting, or =
to
listen to the 12 most recentmessages, call (425) 454-2662 and follow the
prompts. First-time Bird Box users mayfind it convenient, before calling=
, to
review the status of Washington=92s chickadee species.
The Washington Ornithological Society would like to see the BirdBox beco=
me a
statewide aid to birders. One of the reasons for this transcription is as=
a
service to those outside the local calling area and for people living out=
side
WA who are interested for whatever reason. We would like to offer an emai=
l
transcription service to anyone with a message for the BirdBox. (The emai=
l
will be placed as a phone message as well as an error free message on the
transcription). Send your message to halop at u.washington.edu with cc to
norton360 at aol.com, subplot at u.washington.edu, chembros81 at aol.com &
cehill at u.washington.edu (the cc are in case Hal Opperman is out of town a=
nd
the only cc really necessary is to whoever is transcribing at the time yo=
u
submit the message). Those active birders and TWEETERS subscribers living
outside the (206) area are requested to let their non TWEETERS birding
friends know this service is available and to offer to post the message f=
or
them.

7:11 AM, May 23 - Paul Hicks, (360) 264-2462. I have a question, May 15t=
h I
was at
Ocean Shores and at the end of Daymon Point I saw a flock of BLACK TURNST=
ONES
with a pale bird with it. Wondering if anyone might know what that was f=
rom
previous sightings. Somebody suggested that they heard that a ROCK SANDPI=
PER
was hanging out with BLACK TURNSTONES. If somebody saw this flock I=92d=
be
interested in hearing. (360) 264-2462. Thank you.
