In my last two trips to Discovery Park, I've noticed a lot of tagged Songs
Sparrows - color tags on their feet. Does anyone know why? I'm just
curious.

Otherwise, my last two Sunday a.m. trips to the park's visitors center
have been rather quiet - many Song Sparrows, a Hermit Thrush on 5/18,
and a Pileated Woodpecker this past Sunday.

Yesterday, my wife and I went to LakeWold Gardens in Tacoma. I took my
Binoculars along just in case, and was rewarded with a beautiful Male
Western Tanager (my first), and a Solitary Vireo.
