The recent discussions of "chimney" swifts and chimneys caused Judy to ask,

"Is having chimney swifts in your chimney like having gloves in your glove box?"

Talked to a customer this morning who birds only with his wife. They record a
sighting ONLY if BOTH have seen and identified it.

The greater birding challenge is the immediate reaction to that, until three
seconds later the personal relationship aspect hits you. What a wonderful thing!
