Regarding Vaux's Swifts and their nesting behaviour, Michael Price writes:

Well, I have watched the chimney in the evening and have not seen any sign
of swifts. Eventually, I will have to look down the chimney to see if there
is any tell-tale evidence. But what suprises me are the descriptions I have
of witnesses telling of very large flocks diving into chimneys during spring
migration (nighttime roost?) but are not observed doing this for very long
into the season. I have not heard of nesting occurring at the site.

As for the daytime roost option, wouldn't a swift 'quickie' be called a
'swiftie nooner'?
