Tweets,
Here is a stab at some of my favorite appearances of the weekend. Other
tweeters were there and they can add their own twist. Here is a start.

Around the camp:
Usual favorites like WH Woodpecker, Veery, Pygmy Nuthatch, Gray
Flycatcher, Pewwes,Mountain Chickadee were seen. As well as Red-naped
Sapsucker, Yellow Warbler. Hummingbirds included Calliope, Rufous and
Black-chinned.
All three species were at Ruth Sullivans feeders, truly unique. At night I
had Common Poorwill up Dry Creek Rd.

Hardy Canyon area (lower):
Lots of Orioles, Lazuli Buntings, very vocal YB-chats. And a nice suprise
again found by Ruth was a Gray Catbird. It was relocated by others
including myself. I also had a warbler that stumped me but after
obseessing over the bird for about 6 hours. I have called it a imm. Myrtle
race Yellow-rumped Warbler in a extremely odd plumage. (No yellow spots,
quite dark back and little breast streaking). I have a problem as those
who know me can attest to. I have a hard time leaving a bird as a mystery
bird. A good example is obsessing 6 hours over a yellow-rumped warbler.
This was not 6 field hours (I'm not that crazy!).
The wildflowers were quite awesome as I spent almost as much wildflower
time as birding.
Wenas Lake:
Spotted Sandpiper
Bank Swallow
Cinnamon Teal
All in all the weekend was truly wonderful. Some of my favorite time was
birding by myself and the freedom of just taking of through the hills. Its
nice to occassionally leave your car and experience nature in every
aspect.
All in all I probably had about ~80 species for the weekend.
