Since I put feeders in my back yard a coule of years ago, I have always had about equal numbes of Chestnut and Black Capped Chickadees visit. They visit regularly all year except during the nesting season when only a few who nest nearby visit. About a month ago, I noticed I was not seeing very many Chestnut backed chickadees. I have not seen one now for two weeks, although there are still plenty of Black Capped Chickadees around, along with all the usual Nuthatches, Juncos, FInches and Wrens.

What might have happened to the Chestnut Chickadees? Has anyone else noticed this? I live in The Enatai neighborhood of Bellevue.
