Jack,

I lost my Chestnut Backed Chickadees about two years ago -- just completely
disappeared. Since it was pretty much at the same time as a huge
development
of apartments went up (and trees went down) around a nearby stream, I
assumed the events were related. And I wondered if maybe our little Black
Capped friends are more adaptable to the urban environment and its changes.

visit
regularly all year except during the nesting season when only a few who
nest
nearby visit. About a month ago, I noticed I was not seeing very many
Chestnut backed chickadees. <snip>
