Actually, depending on the angle of light, cormorants' eye-color ranges from
turquoise to emerald to a dark jade, while the plumage is, depending on
species, mostly electric bottle-greens, bronzes, electric midnight blues,
that have to be seen to be believed.

In the early part of this century, God and the Canadian Pacific Railway
decreed that the turquoise-hued one in Canada's Banff National Park is the
only one which makes it onto the travel posters. '-)
