Remember that guy who likes to send us spam after spam about his "Deep
Ecology" book? It looks like he got his. The odd thing is, this guy
ran a great wildlife ecology list (called Wildlife Ecology Digest) with
over 7,000 subscribers. It was really valuable. The title of his post
today was "WED RUINED...by Selfish Individuals" - I guess he still sees
nothing wrong with his actions. Here it is:
"Today my AOL account was canceled because someone reported me for
sending an "advertisement" for the WED list to another mailing list.
Because of my account being canceled, the WED web page is no longer
accessible for maintenance. This has caused me to reconsider my
countless hours of free time that I have given freely to the WED, and to
cease any attempts at putting out any more issues. The selfishness and
downright misery of such individuals who would try to shut down such a
thing of importance baffles my mind. In fact, it makes me lose complete
faith in any chance of recovering what little we have left of this
planet. My reason is that if we biologists are fighting amongst
ourselves, then what chance does anyone have? This earth is doomed, and
I'm sick and tired of trying to help when all I get is backlash from
"allies."
Sincerely,
David Doyle
