My friend refers to the deck railing near his small bird feeders, as his
"hawk feeder". The little guys love to hang out on the railing and once in
a while the local hawk manages to get one for a meal. Just this morning as
I was walking outside I spotted a hawk that swooped down on one of my
feeders and scared the dickens out of me and the birds.
