Hi Tweets,

The last week or so, there's been a male 'Red-shafted' X 'Yellow-shafted'
intergrade Northern Flicker hanging about the yard (landlady has feeders
out). Here's some of the features:

'Red-shafted'
-------------
red moustache
bright salmon-red underwings and tail
brown crown, but restricted to thin median stripe back to nape as a thin line.


'Yellow-shafted'
---------------
completely buffy face
red nuchal crescent (smaller than on conventional YS)
