The kitty is getting bigger, I'll throw in my $.02.
Advice that I have been following for the last year is based on the
assumption/fact that the major cause of death after a window collision is
brain hemmorhage. Therefore the important ingredient in the first-aid is
that the bird remain head-up during recovery.
We hold the birds, head-up, until they fully revive and either fly off or
are capable of gripping a branch. So far this appears effective.
