update.

Featured bird this evening is an out of town LITTLE GULL.

Sightings for Friday, November 7th

A LITTLE GULL was seen in Active Pass from the 7:00 AM ferry crossing to
Swartz Bay.

10 BRANT were seen at Boundary Bay Regional Park and another 24 between
the Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty and the Coal Port Jetty.

14 TUNDRA SWAN were observed in a field near Splash Down Park on Hwy #
17.

Thursday, November 6th

The ROCK WREN was reported near the end of Balckie Lane which is south of
Beecher in Crescent Beach. The YELLOW-BILLED LOON and ROCK
SANDPIPER were also present.

BRANT are beginning to move into the area with 7 seen at Boundary Bay
Regional Park and another 14 between the Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty and the
Coal Port Jetty. Two EURASIAN WIGEON were also recorded at Boundary Bay
R.P.

Two BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS were observed on the Tsawwassen Jetty and
with 6 more seen near 2nd Beach in Stanley Park.

The COMMON EIDER was seen off the foot of 22nd in West Vancouver.

Wednesday, November 5th

The ROCK WREN was located several 100m south of Crescent Beach's
Beecher St. frequenting a beach logs. Also near this location was the
YELLOW-
BILLED LOON and ROCK SANDPIPER

A female TUFTED DUCK was sighted on the south shore of Stanley Park's Lost
Lagoon. A RING-NECKED DUCK was also observed.

The COMMON EIDER was observed off the foot of 24th in West Vancouver.

A BARRED OWL was seen at Montrose Park in North Burnaby.

A late TOWNSEND'S WARBLER was seen at Cecil Green Park.

A tan morph WHITE-THROATED SPARROW was located on Sea Island, in the
old Cora Brown subdivision east of MacDonald Rd.

Tuesday, November 4th

The ROCK WREN was observed just south of the foot of Beecher in Crescent
Beach. Also at this location were the YELLOW-BILLED LOON and the ROCK
SANDPIPER.

Eight BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS were sighted at the entrance to West Van's
Fisherman's Cove. Another 43 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS and 230
SURFBIRDS were counted on the Bird Islets. Along Bowen Islands west side
were 4 MARBLED MURRELETS.

A NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen at the foot of 72nd at Boundary Bay.

Monday, November 3rd

The ROCK WREN was discovered at Crescent Beach in rocks near the end of
Beecher.

Sunday, November 2nd

CRESTED MYNAS were reported from two locations: Burrard and 2nd; and
Marine and Osler.
