Hi Tweets:

Today, Nov. 12, I did the monthly bird survey of the Redmond Watershed
Preserve. There were 17 species: Mallard, Lesser Scaup, Bufflehead,
Black-crowned Night Heron, Belted Kingfisher, Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers,
Steller's Jay, American Crow, Varied Thrush, Bewick's Wren, Winter Wren (49
seen and /or heard), Ruby and Golden-crowned Kinglets, Black-capped
Chickadee, Song Sparrow and Spotted Towhee. 30 different species have been
observed in the 3 months that I've been doing the survey. Each survey takes
3 1/2 to 5 hours and during the week you rarely encounter anyone else.
