The "no snow yet" being the lack of forcing agent here, I believe. I just drove
down from Fort Nelson yesterday for a couple of days home before heading
back up. Very little snow cover anywhere. And also very few birds. A couple of
Rough-legs, the odd shrike and starling. Apparently the Bohemian Waxwings are
back in force here in P.G. which jibes with the heavy berry load this fall.
*No* Trumpeter Swans on the Crooked River yet which I believe is the latest
that they have never been there. Even a few harriers sticking it out at the
various airports in c. BC still. No redpolls at my feeder yet...
