Sightings for Wednesday, November 12th

An immature HARRIS'S SPARROW was found at Cecil Green Park.

The ROCK SANDPIPER was observed at the foot of Sullivan in Crescent Beach.

Six SNOW BUNTINGS were seen on the Tsawwassen Jetty.

Four TRUMPETER SWANS were in a field off 41B in Delta.

Ambleside Park in West Vancouver was the location for 4 BLACK
OYSTERCATCHERS

Tuesday, November 11th

The COMMON EIDER was with a large raft of SCOTERS and GOLDENEYE
west of the Lion's Gate Bridge. Also seen at Lost Lagoon were 2 REDHEADS.

A late NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW was reported from Reifel
Refuge.

A SHORT-EARED OWL was seen at Burnaby Lake.

N.W. of Lougheed Mall was a PEREGRINE.

A few late warblers were reported in the area with 3 ORANGE-CROWNS at Port
Moody's Rocky Point Park and a YELLOW-RUMP near the Dinsmore Bridge in
Richmond. A LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER was seen on the Airport foreshore.

Monday, November 10th

A GREAT GRAY OWL was reported north of the railway tracks on Burkehill Rd.
in West Vancouver. This was a single observer sighting. Confirmation is
desired.

The ROCK WREN and ROCK SANDPIPER were seen at their usual location in
Crescent Beach. The LONG-BILLED CURLEW was reported from Blackie Spit.

Two AMERICAN AVOCETS were seen at the mouth of the Serpentine River.
Also seen near this location were 3 AMERICAN PIPITS and a NORTHERN
SHRIKE.

A BROWN PELICAN was observed from the Reifel Refuge flying south in the
company of 3 TRUMPETER SWANS. Also reported from the Refuge were 3
RING-NECKED DUCKS, 3 BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON, 2 EURASIAN
WIDGEON and an OLDSQUAW.

>From Boundary Bay R.P. were 2 EURASIAN WIDGEON, A PEREGRINE
FALCON, COOPER'S HAWK and 3 GREATER YELLOW-LEGS.

40 BRANT, the WILLET, 6 SNOW BUNTINGS and 2 EURASIAN WIDGEON
were seen from the Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty.

Another 2 EURASIAN WIDGEON were at Jericho Park.

Two REDHEAD were reported from Lost Lagoon.

Ten SNOW BUNTINGS were reported on the Iona South Jetty. A SHORT-
EARED OWL was seen at Iona R.P. A BARN SWALLOW was sighted at
MacDonald Beach on Sea Island. Three NORTHERN SHRIKE were observed
along the Airport fence at various locations.

Sunday, November 9th

Thirteen TRUMPETER SWANS and 11 TUNDRA SWANS were sighted along
Burns Rd. about 1 1/2 km west of the landfill site. Also near this site was
an
immature SANDHILL CRANE.

At Serpentine Fen were 12 LEAST SANDPIPERS.
