Tuesday morning I was watching some Tundra Swans flying into a brisk east
wind at Swanson Lakes south of Creston. As they passed overhead a flock of
about 40 SNOW BUNTINGS rattled by. They were flying right over the surface
of the water. About a half mile out the swans circled and soon I noticed the
flock of buntings had wheeled around also. Later I found another group of
about 30 SNOW BUNTINGS in a stubble field off Highway 2, and was able to pick
out one LAPLAND LONGSPUR. Also, on the morning of Nov. 1, a couple of ROSY
FINCHES flew up off the bank of my private road north of Creston.

Have any of you Grand Coulee or Bridgeport birders seen the Cattle Egrets
since your last report?
