Yesterday morning there was a female Belted Kingfisher at the Ballard
Locks, perched on the southernmost railroad bridge abutment, this morning
a male was rattling around the locks proper but I haven't seen the pair
together in quite some time. I'm going to write Scott directly, but I
thought I'd post here as well. The other new winter arrivals were a pair
of Western Grebes and one Horned Grebe. There are hundreds of Western
Grebes out around West Point, less than a mile away, but very few make it
in to the Locks.
