I got to see a nice display of survival of the fittest today from our
living room window which over looks Cresent Bay lake. A mature Bald
Eagle made about 6 passes at a loner immature Snow Goose and 2 Coots.
The Snow Goose would take off running and the Coots would dive. As soon
as the Coots popped up the Goose would be there right next to them. It
was a sight to see! The Eagle finally went away empty handed (taloned).
The Snow Goose has been here for several days now, just hangin out with
who ever is around. ie. Buffleheads, Hooded & common Mergansers, Common
Goldeneyes, Redheads, Lesser Scaup, American Wigeon and Coots.
