Greetings,

This morning (Saturday November 15) during the Green Lake Park Alliance bird
walk around Green Lake, we encountered a photogenic Cattle Egret on the lawn
near the Bathhouse Theater. It was foraging among the leaves on the grass.
Spooked by someone looking for lost keys it disappeared around the corner,
towards the bay at the north end. Several minutes later it came back into view
and landed on the western diving platform near the Bathhouse Theater, among
the variety of gulls.
The species had already been recorded on the lake, but it was a first for me.
