I visited the area just south of the Alki Lighthouse in Seattle this
afternoon, Sunday November 16. All three scoters and a few Common Goldeneye.
The flock of 25-30 Sanderlings were very active on the shore and bulhead (it
was nearly high tide). Just past the scoters, about 150 years offshore were
a pair of Harlequin ducks. The male was brilliant. My first of the year.

A mile or so south, at Emma Schmitz Viewpoint, there were another pair of
Harlequin. I'm glad their back!
