I was woken up yesterday (Saturday) morning by some familiar sounding loud
bird calls that I couldn't place at first. Then a rowdy group of at least
5 Blue Jays dropped down to the feeder and started gulping sunflower
seeds. They've hung around through today, and I just saw them foraging in
the hawthorn bushed together with two Steller's Jays that I presume are my
yard's regular pair.

I wonder if the jays are the same group that had been hanging out on the U
of I campus, about 5 miles south of here? Anybody seen them since
Saturday?
