For a brief bit of sanity this afternoon, I drove out past Vancouver Lake.
Had 9 neck-banded Canada Geese (+2 more uncooperative sleeping birds with
bands) as well as many other types of waterfowl. Also had 1 RED-NECKED
GREBE in among the 60 or so WESTERNS on the lake proper. Tried hard for a
Clark's but to no avail. There was also a MEW GULL and still a few
BONAPARTE's.

Gull numbers around the Clark Campus have been as large as I remember.
I've seen 600-800 birds some mornings on the Hudson's Bay football field.
One first-year HERRING GULL this morning.
