Birders crossing back and forth over the mountains this winter might wish to
bookmark the Washington DOT Mountain Pass Reports (lists all of 'em) page.

http://traffic.wsdot.wa.gov/sno-info/

Updates continually. Also, while you're there, click on the "cameras" option
which puts you live, on I-90 Snoqualme Pass via DOT's live video camera feed
to see for yourself. The cam is supposed to update every 30 seconds, but
while I there, I could swear that people were out sunning & warbler watching
-- just kidding <g>. Obviously, the "view" is not so good at night (is it
ever?!), and seems not to actually update while you are at the site (or it
was stuck in a loop), but, it's close enough.

Planning a trip from the east side to WOS and SAS meetings or birding at
Alki, not to mention commuting to/from work? There are other links to camera
feeds (Seattle metro) to check out at your leisure or needs. I don't work
for the DOT btw. :-)) Otherwise, just the plain ol' radio is your next best
friend.
