Tweets--
occasionally there are posts to the net requesting
information/advice on low cost starter bins..in the
past I thought Swift Audubons were the least expensive
pretty good glass..yesterday, I hied off to Wild Birds
Unlmtd., in Olympia and tried out a pair of the
Celestron 8x32 roof prisms..they are also available
in 10x42 and at a mere $95.00! While they couldn't
touch my Zeiss for color and clarity, I certainly
think they'd make a good modest investment for a
beginner, or as I'd use them, a pair for under the
front seat of the car for those moments when I
wish I had my Zeiss.. might want to check them out.
