Thursday, Nov. 20, 5:34 p.m. Yes, this is Larry Cowan from
the Vancouver Bird Alert. We have a rare hummingbird up in
our neck of the woods, a XANTUS HUMMINGBIRD. It is
coming to a cedar in Gibsons, B.C., which is just a short
ferry ride out of Vancouver. It's at a house at 221 Second
Street, and it's visiting this feeder about every 15 minutes.
We have permission to get onto the property using the
driveway. You can walk up the driveway, and the bird can be
seen coming to the feeder at the end of that. Thanks.

Thursday, Nov. 20, 4:20 p.m. This is Wilson Cady,
360-835-5947. Today at 3 p.m. at the Washougal City
Sewage Lagoon in Clark County, DeLorme Atlas, page 23,
D6 -- that's on Milepost 17.5 on Highway 14 -- there was a
BLACK PHOEBE in the southwest corner of the sewage
lagoon and in the adjacent wetlands to the west. Thank you.
