The Black Phoebe was seen again today (Sunday) at 11:30 a.m. at the
Washougal STP (SR 14, mp 17.5). It reappeared as the Gorge wind died
slightly and the rain abated, calling loudly as it flew up from the
marshy area on the west side of the lagoons to drink at the small
cinderblock troughs in the center of the west side. I was, additionally,
able to enjoy lunch later since the funds I had set aside for trespassing
bail were not needed. My arrival, and that of several others, coincided
with the arrival of a city guy who said "come on down." We did.
