I have followed with interest the discussion re the Xantus hummer's presence
in BC.
The attempted explanations to date seeking POLITICAL explanations, drug
abuse, CIA sneaking little jewels across international boundaries are all
illogical flights of fancy. The real explanation is this:

A) The recent burst of solar storm activity has produced an unusual flow
of neutrinos striking earth. This bird received a heavy dose of neutrinos
that altered its magnetic controlled sense of direction. All species seem
to have an inherent magentic control that helps maintain a sense of
direction---fish, worms etc.

B) The magnetic control in this hummer was somehow reversed so that it
sensed it was too far north out of it's natural range so it flew south, that
simple!! WHL
