Tonights news in Anchorage, Alaska warned residents of outlying Eagle
River to keep a close watch on the household pets. Seems the wolves in
the area are finding them to be easy meals. In the past several weeks,
at least five dogs have been taken by area gray wolves, even taking them
right out of the back yards! One area biologist said its possible the
wolves are turning to easier prey since there is a lack of deep snow
cover that would normally make moose slower and easier to catch.

Now, back to the birds....
