Yes, there are 2 that I know of. MDOsprey is dedicated strictly to birds
and birding in Maryland. MarVaDel is dedicated to birds and birding in
the Maryland, Virginia and Delaware area with some extralimital stuff
thrown in to boot. Judging from your email address I think you live in
Prince George's County, MD. If so, these should suit you just fine!

MDOSPREY
Q: How do I subscribe to MDOsprey?

A: It's really quite simple. Send an e-mail message addressed to
MajorDomo at ari.net with the following line in the message body (you can
put whatever you want in the subject line--MajorDomo ignores that part
of the message):

SUBSCRIBE MDOsprey

Within a short period of time you should receive a note back from
MajorDomo confirming your subscription and giving you a bit of
information about using the list. Save this confirmation message in
case you need to remove your name from the subscription list in the
future.

If you want to browse the archives of MDOsprey (admittedly a bit light
so far), point your browser at:

http://www.ari.net/mdosprey/

MARVADEL

Greetings Marvadel subscribers,

I am happy to announce that Marvadel is back, at least for the time
being, but with a difference - it has a new address (sound familiar?).

The address for mailings effective immediately:

marvadel at amazon.ncsl.nist.gov

...and for administrative requests, etc:

marvadel-request at amazon.ncsl.nist.gov
